Hi,
I want to upgrade to iOS Sierra and purchase Adobe iCloud application service.
Will I have issues with my old Adobe CS5 application files?
thanks,
Paul

Files that you create with old programs should open just fine in Cloud programs... the reverse is NOT always true, since files created in Cloud programs may have features that mean an old program will not open a new file
Also, if you ever stop using a Cloud subscription, your old programs may stop working

Creative Cloud is Adobe, iCloud is Apple
What are application files... do you mean files, such as pictures, or programs, such as Photoshop?
YES, you will have problems with CS5 programs and Sierra... up to and including some people can't get CS5 to run at all

Hi John,
Thanks for the clarification on Creative Cloud and iCloud. What I am concerned about is purchasing Adobe's
Creative Cloud service. Will my old adobe CS5 applications work with the Creative Cloud Adobe applications.
What I mean by files is files I have saved in CS5 applications such as CS5 Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks,
Dreamweaver,Flash,etc.
Thanks for the reply,
Paul

Creative Cloud apps do not overwrite your existing Creative Suite software. They are installed onto different directories. Theoretically, you can run them both but not at the same time. However, CS5 is not certified to run on Mac Sierra as it is legacy software now. But you should have no problems running Creative Cloud apps on Sierra.
