At a certain point I remember seeing free downloads for Adobe CS3, being no longer backed its the ideal way to develop basic skills and interest towards buying the new product.
This especially counts when you are part of a charity organization that doesn't have a big budget and has no idea about what having photoshop could mean for them.

You are saying you want to use software illegally without ever having bought it? Wow! Sorry, this is nonsense. CS2 was and is not free. It's only provided to allow users who actually bought it back then to keep on working.

I am not saying that I want to download it illegally, the method I meant was fully legal.
A while back there was a download on the adobe site itself giving out free downloads with a serial of CS3 because by now the software is dated.
Before you make an assumption charging someone with wanting to download it illegally perhaps it would be nice to ask before you play judge.

There has not been nor is there any current free offering of CS3 products. CS2 is provided to anyone who previously purchased CS2 or an earlier version and needed to reinstall. If you heard there was/is a free version it was a rumor that spread as a result of people misunderstanding the intention for the CS2 product offering.
