I get as far as completing the "Initializing Installer" progress bar but the window disappears and nothing more happens. I've tried compatibility mode for Windows 8 and 7 with no luck
Progress! This worked to get me past the original hang up at the installer. Now something weird is happening. When I try entering my code to activate the program, I can only enter number! When I press the letter keys nothing happens! lol. Anyways, I've started the 30 day free trial and have a bit of time to figure out how to activate it. Maybe an Adobe rep can help with that if I provide the code? Anyways, thank you very much Brucgovn for getting me installed!

Hi Scoot90210,
It will help us troubleshoot if you can provide a little more information. What version of Lightroom are you trying to install? Is it via the Creative Cloud or are you installing a standalone title via disk or download?
You may want to review the logs to see if you can pinpoint the issue.

Hi Del,
I'm trying to install LIghtroom 6 (using a software download card) on my new laptop running Windows 10.
I followed the troubleshooting steps in the links you sent as best I could and have found the log. It has the following error;
12/08/15 06:46:26:066 | [ERROR] | | ASU | OPM | CryptEngine | | | 8472 | Failed in key3List generation
I'll keep working at this but would appreciate any guidance you could offer
Thank you!

tep 1)
Launch Task Manager, click on More Details option and end all Adobe related tasks.
Step 2)
Navigate to C: > Program Files(x86) > " Common Files" > Adobe .
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
Unable to delete ?? try to rename . like OOBE-old.
Step 3)
Click on the below link and download Adobe Application manager and install the same :
http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/creativesuite/cc/win/ApplicationManager9.0_all.exe
Once the installation process is completed, locate Adobe Application Manager launch icon on Desktop and double click on it .
It will start update process. once it is completed, It will launch Adobe Creative Cloud app , which is nothing but Updated version of Adobe Application Manager. Quit it.
Then try to install the Lightroom 6 again .
