I was thinking about buying Animate but decided first of all to download the trial and make sure it works. My system requirements seem fine, Win10 64 bit i3 processor, plenty of space and ram. The download of Animate got to about 75% then the download box disappeared! I tried launching it and got errors that files (MSVCP140.dll for one and another one) were missing and try downloading again. I could not seem to get another download to start). Then, I noticed when I opened the desktop manager that the Media Encoder was downloading. It gets to 8% then crashes (I tried twice) with an error:
FATAL: Fatal Error '117' occurred while download
FATAL: Error occurred in download of package (Name: AdobeMediaEncoder11AllTrial Version: 11.0.2.53). Error code: '117'
Gee I have 7 whole days to figure out what all of these problems are. I am glad I didn't buy it.
Solved it. Uninstalling and reinstalling is not the correct solution. I spent some more time on You Tube and discovered dll-files.com There I could download the two missing dll files and put them where they need to be. They have good FAQ's on dll's, why they go missing, how to put them in the correct windows folders, etc. It looks like I had them in the 32bit portion of windows but they were not in the 64 bit system folder. For some reason downloading the Microsoft package would not go through t

Really? It took almost 4 hours to download and install this plus hours searching for a solution to the missing dll files and now I have to do it all over again and then some and it probably not work anyway from what others are saying. From my searching on this problem with these two missing dll files, the cscleanertool will not work. Also this is a trial version. If I decide to spend the entire day tomorrow starting all over will I be allowed to redownload the trial. it took 4 or 5 retries to get the Media Encoder to download. I am so tired and frustrated with this I don't know if it is worth it.

I didn't have time until today to try again. I uninstalled as per your instructions a few days ago. I reinstalled (or tried to) today. I have not been able to get the media encoder to download. After 5 tries with the same error 117 I gave up and tried to see if Animate CC would load. No go. I get 4 boxes piled up telling me that I am missing MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME.dll - 4 times it tells me.
Is it possible to run this software on Windows 10 64 bit? I have only 2 more days of my free trial to see if I can install it. I do not know how to get these missing files. None of the solutions I have tried work. I have Flash CS5 installed on my Win7 32 bit computer (or I hope I will be able to reinstall on my upgraded computer tomorrow). It did not ask for these archaic files when I previously installed it. Or would Animate CC work better on Win7 64 bit. I am planning on upgrading that computer to 64 bit in a few months.
I am really disappointed. I was looking forward to using this new version of Flash. I have used Flash since version 3. I have 3, 4, 5, MX and CS5. I created a popular standalone application that has been the main source of my income for more than a dozen years. I have created hundreds of teaching animations. I love Flash. I often say it is like playing music when creating with it. I stand up for Flash when the browsers and Apple continue to hate it. There is nothing else like it out there to create animations and interactive applications for someone who isn't a major coding expert.
I recently decided to enroll in a Develop for Android course so I could create a simpler version of my Flash app for a mobile device. I know I can do this in CS5 which I may go back and try. The course involved downloading and installing Android Studio. This is a huge download with more huge download addons. It installed without a glitch so I .know this is not a problem with my internet service or my computer. -However, learning Java is hard. I kept saying to myself that this would be so much easier in Flash. When I saw the this new version can export to mobile devices I was so excited. Is there anyway to install this? I only have two more days to try.

To add to this, I uninstalled Animate and tried Installing Illustrator to see if it would work. I get the same pile of error boxes needing the two .dll files. How can I get these files on my computer?

I re-installed Animate and for some lucky reason I was able to get Media Encoder in one try (maybe related to missing dll's ?) Restarted my computer and Animate opened!
Maybe someone could make a FAQ related to these two missing dll's and how to fix it since it seems to be commonplace.
