Cannot activate Creative Suite Web Premium 5.5

Hey everyone,

I have an old license for Creative Suite Web Premium (I've got CS4 + 5.5 upgrade). 

When I try to activate it on my new device I get an error "This serial number has already been activated on 2 computers".

I did indeed have it activated on my old laptop so I deactivated it there (Help -> Deactivate). However, the error still appears. When I go to my account -> Activated devices there are no devices on the list.

Do you have any idea how to solve the issue?

CS4 might need to be deactivated as well, however, the servers for CS4 have been shut down.

if your old computer fails to update adobe's server about its deactivation, that deactivation won't be registered.

KGLAD - A community expert or a Adobe Employee ?

You have replied to many of the same questions about activation, just how many people are having the same issue? 

I believe someone like yourself should be looking at why these issues are happening and what can be done.. Have you ever has a chat with Adobe about this issue?

many people have had activation issues for many years.  i don't know the number.  

 

and yes, i (and others) have discussed with adobe employees that have greater insight into this issue.
