cannot install indesign with mountain lion

I purchased and installed mountain lion so that I could download indesign. It keeps showing me the error page that I do not have a current operating system installed? Please help?

Download and Install Adobe Creative Cloud app , it will auto detect the Apps which are compatible with your Computer and list those on the Apps list available to install .

You can run InDesign cc 2014 version , but CC 2015 version is not compatible with OS X 10.8.5 , however you may upgrade Operating system,

Hi,

The latest Indesign CC 2015 is not compatible with 10.8 which is Mountain Lion  you need 10.9 (Mavericks) or above see, System requirements | InDesign

However you can install Indesign CC 2014 on that machine,please refer to the below link and check how you can do that:

It does not mention yosemite anywhere

This link shows all the O.S that Indesign is compatible with, however there are different versions of Indesign available and each of them have different set of system requirements which are shown in the above mentioned link :  Adobe product operating system compatibility
