CC AFTER EFFECT, PREMIERE PRO ERROR CODE 1 AND CC ERROR P1

New Here ,
Sep 12, 2018 Sep 12, 2018

Hello,

I have been trying for more than a week to install CC after effect 2018 on my laptop but I keep having error code 1, I tried installing CC desktop apps and I have error P1.

I have tried all solutions including:

  • Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove the current installation of the Creative Cloud desktop app. See Run the CC Cleaner Toolhttps://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

  • In the CC Cleaner Tool, choose option 3: Creative Cloud 2015, Creative Cloud 2014, Creative Cloud & CS6 Products. Then choose option 1: Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop.

  • Rename the following OOBE folders to OOBE.old:

    Windows
    • \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    • \Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

    But nothing is working,

I have created another administrative account and tried installing directly from adobe website still no avail.

    Please what do I do?

make sure you follow the steps exactly (including the restart).

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Hi Anie,

Thanks for reaching out in a personal message and sharing the forum link with me.

As you have already tried multiple troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue, however, the installation still fails with an error message 'Error code P1', did you try the steps Kglad has shared if not then please try them and share the results.

Along with that could you please let us know if you have any anti-virus, internet security software or system optimizer software installed on your machine? These apps can cause the Creative Cloud desktop app to stop working, especially a system optimizer software.

I would request you to turn off these apps for the time being and then follow the steps given in the below thread to manually remove the Creative Cloud desktop app from your machine: Photoshop Installation Failed.

After this using direct download links download and install the desktop app again: Download Creative Cloud desktop app.

Let us know if this helps.

I'm not sure if you had success with Adobe support for this issue...I did not.  I finally got it to work and here were my steps for correcting Error P1:

1. Did all the steps recommended by everyone in the forum with no luck.

2. Contacted adobe support and all they could say was that CC 2019 was probably incompatible with Windows 7 and might do the same thing even if I upgraded to Win 10. The only solution they had was to try and sell me CS 6 for $600.

Went ahead and upgraded to Windows 10, still got the same error. Went back to Windows 7.

3. Decided to bite the bullet and remove everything related to anything Adobe on my laptop.

4. Ran CC cleaner and removed all 5.1, 5.5, and 6.0 apps. Then ran again and cleaned All.

5. Opened Control Panel and uninstalled anything else Adobe related.

6. Renamed these oobe folders to oobe.old:

     • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
     • C:\Users\Elisabeth\AppData\Local\Adobe

     • C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Adobe

7. Deleted Adobe folders from below 5 locations  (or rename them to Adobe-old). I chose to delete them.

     • C: > ProgramData> Adobe.

     • C: > Program Files > Adobe.

     • C: > Program Files(X86) > Adobe.

     • C: > Program Files > Common Files >  Adobe.

     • C: > Program Files(X86) > Common Files >  Adobe.

8. When you try to rename them or delete them you may get an error that says they can't be deleted because they are open or being used by System. Or that you must have Admin rights. In that case follow these instructions. It may say System as the owner rather than TrustedInstaller depending on what version of Windows you have.

Windows 7/8/10 - How to Delete Files Protected by TrustedInstaller

9. Ran CC cleaner again just to be on the safe side.

10. Restarted. Ran the installer and it worked.

Good luck! It took me 4 days of sitting in front of my computer trying everything , trying again, searching, and searching again to arrive at this solution. I shouldn't have had to do that.
