Is it possible to change the Adobe plan during the trial period?

Cancel what you have, before the trial converts to a paid subscription, and do a new subscription

Actually (at least as of 3/2020), you can change your plan to a different product, but you can't, as I would like to do, change the term from annual to monthly (or vice versa, I assume) during your trial period.  With that caveat, John is right that you would need to cancel before the end of your trial period, then sign up for a paid plan for the product and term you eventually want.
