I just purchased a brand new iMac today. I brought it home, pulled it out of the box, updated the software to the most current version, and immediately tried to install my creative cloud applications. I logged into adobe on Safari, downloaded the CreativeCloudinstaller.dmg, and opened it to install the Creative Cloud Desktop. That's when the install stalled. I retried it about 10 times, and spent 30 minutes in chat with Adobe customer support, who basically just told me to keep retrying over and over and over again. Screen cap included to show the point where the install stalled. And before anyone says this, the issue is NOT my internet connectivity. Any idea how to fix whatever the problem may be? Download process stuck at the middle of the progress bar indicates that it is not being able to start installation process using downloaded files, main reasons.

  • Conflicting background processes.
  • Corrupt Adobe Application Manager and other associated folders.
  • Sometimes , if the Mac OS X version is 10.6.8 and below , the Creative Cloud installer will obviously download files necessary for installation , but cannot start installation process due to OS incompatibility .
  • And of course sometimes it will be permissions issue , if the user does not have sufficient permissions for Adobe folders under both locations:  ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe and /Library/Application Support/Adobe.

These are just usual reasons , there are also other factors.
