Creative cloud installer failed!(error code : 44)

Hi,

Quits all Adobe and creative cloud processes from the task manager and delete these folders :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore

C:\Programmes\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE     

C:\Programmes\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory    

C:\Utilisateurs\<votre nom>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

C:\Utilisateurs\<votre nom>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater

C:\Utilisateurs\<votre nom>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory

Install CC desktop again from :

Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe Creative Cloud trial

Launch the install of the apps from this tool .

Hi TowhaTI,

As you have mentioned you are unable to install Creative Cloud desktop app as it fails with an error " Error code 44" and you have also tried few troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue, however the problem persists.

Since this error is permissions related which means you do not have full read and write permissions on certain folder due to which the installer is not able to access that location, I would recommend correcting the permissions on the folders given in the following help document: Preferences folder read-only error | Permissions issue.

After this follow the steps given in "Solution 2" of the following help document to resolve the issue: "Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app"​.

Now you may download the Creative Cloud desktop app using the direct download link given here: Download Creative Cloud desktop app.

Thanks for the update TowhaTI, No we do not need to edit any registry entries. For further troubleshooting I would recommend performing a complete manual cleanup of Adobe from your machine, to do that please refer to the following thread: Reactivation error unresolved after receiving new serial number from Adobe​

Note: This will remove everything related to Adobe from your machine.

After this retry the installation by downloading the Creative Cloud desktop app using the direct download link given here: Download Creative Cloud desktop app.

is it even gonna delete Photoshop cc 2015.5??

i use it a lot if but when i installed it there was no cc cloud installed so there would be unistallation

right?

Yes TowhaTI, this will delete everything related to Adobe from your machine. I would recommend proceeding only if you wish to delete all and reinstall it.

Hello Kanika i am facing a problem in installing adobe photoshop (ERROR CODE 44).

I ealier installed photoshop 2020 but then i installed and now i tried to install 2019 but it shows error message "Installer was unable to create critical file/directory". I tried to fix through different many ways but its not working. Please help me to resolve this problem. It will be a great help for me. Urgent.
