Hello - not sure what to do! Adobe helped me with getting my account info back and serial code after my macbook had crashed and i did not have this program backed up.

I downloaded it - and now on my mac, running on OSX 10.8.5 , it says "warning - the following disk images couldn't be opened".

Not sure what to do - adobe chat told me to post here. any advice!?

HI,

Make sure that you download from this location. Download Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 products

Compare the file size that is downloaded to what is the size shown on the website. You double click on the DMG file to start the install.

You may also refer Can't open the .dmg file

Hope this helps!

Hi Laurenb1992,

Please check and confirm as the file size is not 2 GB it is 2.9 GB for Mac:

cs5.5.PNG

Also, once you have confirmed the file kindly as check and confirm that your Mac gate keeper is set to allow installs from anywhere.

To do this Go to: Apple icon> System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Allow apps downloaded from anywhere

(to make these changes click on the padlock on the bottom left corner and enter your Mac password)

****These changes are temporary, you can revert these back to normal later.

Let us know if this helps.

Laurenb1992 I download Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard successfully.  I was then able to mount the DMG and initialize the installer.

As discussed via @AdobeCare if the download link available at Download Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 products then please try the links available at Download Adobe CS5.5 Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant / Manager) | ProDesignTools..

You indicated that you downloaded on three different Internet connections.  Were they all on the MacBook?  Please download the installation files and on an alternate computer using an alternate Internet connection.  You can then transfer the files from that computer utilizing a USB drive.
