Hi everyone,
Is it impossible to speak to anyone at Adobe? Is it all just community forums now?
Situation is this. I treated myself to a brand new high-end laptop. Spent hours copying files, installing software and logging into accounts. I deactivated CS6 from my old machine to install on this. Machine asked me if it could restart, I gave it what it wanted and now it won't boot into Windows. It's proper stuffed.
I am going to call Lenovo support tomorrow (they're closed now) and figure out my options. Hopefully we can fix it so it boots and everything is great, or I get a new machine, in which case I will have to install everything again. If I do get a new unit (or even factory reset this), I won't be able to deactivate the licence from this machine.
Surely there's a way for Adobe to help out and deactivate. I don't use Adobe software enough to need a CC sub.

Adobe support no longer has the option to help deactivate the old perpetual software. If you are unable to deactivate it and do not have an activation available you will not be able to use the software. Much like your old computer the CS6 software is well past its date of use and if you don't need the high end CC versions of the suite there are plenty of other solutions on the market from Adobe and other companies that may fit your needs depending on what your needs are.

the only way to deactivate is via the old computer, but i didn't see that you had a problem with that deactivation. did you successfully activate on the new computer?
if so, you can restore your new computer to its original state and retry installing and activating your cs6 on that new computer.

If you originally had two activations available, and only used one, you may be able to activate it on the new computer.
