how cam i deactive acrobat 8 pro on a crashed PC when adobe web site does not recognize my email address used for registration?

Don't bother... Acrobat 8 is a dead program

The CS2-CS3-CS4 activation servers have been removed from service
-https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite.html?promoid=19SCDRQK
-So even if you have a disc or saved download, CS2-CS3-CS4 are completely dead
-Adobe also no longer supplies the special non-activation version of CS2-CS3-CS4

deactive acrobat 8

                             in following steps

1. To deactivate Adobe Acrobat, first, open the program.
2. Then go to the Help menu and select Deactivate Adobe Acrobat.
3. A dialog box will appear asking if you are sure you want to deactivate the program.
4. Click Yes to proceed.

Can't hurt to try this but there's a strong likelihood that this is a redundant step since the activation servers no longer exist.
