Frank Meitz,
Please provide the following details:
1. Did you have any previous version of Acrobat installed?
2. Which operating system is your computer running?
3. Did you use the serial number on the Acrobat X pro DVD box during installation?
Thanks

Gautham:
1) yes, the new lenovo came installed but I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the disc that came with the computer.
2) Win 7 on a 64 bit system
3) yes I did use the serial number, however the system did not ask for activation as that option was grayed out under Help.
Thanks

Send private message to Frank to verify the serial number is not an Acrobat Standard serial number.

I have the same problem as Frank:
Lenovo (received 12-7-2012) with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Received Acrobat X Pro disc with other system discs
Uninstalled Acrobat Reader
Installed using Acrobat X Pro disc
Displays in Start and on desktop as Acrobat X Standard
I will want to be sure serial number is Pro as per disc label vs Standard as installed.

I contacted Lenovo and they do not sell the PRO version. It's the serial number that's key. According to Acrobat, my serial number was for the Standard version. No one at Lenovo could explain why the disc label says PRO. Good luck... I ended up upgrading for the multimedia options after all..
