Do I need to run both Lightroom CC and Classic?

I have an Imac 27 running High Siera and am about to install an SSD so have an opportunity to tidy up my computer.

I subscribe to Adobe CC and currently have both Lightroom CC and Classic . Do I need to run both packages  or can I clean up a bit. Can I uninstall Classic or will I loose stored images?

You can run either or both. They are each stand alone apps, so you can just install whichever one you prefer

you won't lose any images even if you uninstall both.  to uninstall, use the cc desktop app.

Uninstall or remove Creative Cloud apps
