Download Error 49 for Lightroom?

New Here ,
Apr 30, 2016 Apr 30, 2016

I've tried disabling my firewalls as Adobe recommended but I'm still getting the same error. In addition, I've tried to locate the temp folder in some of the solutions Adobe posted as well but I couldn't find them on my desktop. Nothing is successful so far.

Any suggestions would be great because I've tried different things and nothing is working...I'm constantly getting the notification to update and I can't find an answer.

Try a direct download. Start by installing LR6.0 if it’s not already installed.

After successful installation download the LR6.5.1 update.

LR6 is already installed and when I tried installing a direct download as you suggested for LR6.5.1 I get the following error:

Lightroom CC/6 Update – April 2016

Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

You could create a new user account with admin privileges and then install the update again from that account. If successful, Lightroom will be updated for all users. You can then switch back to your regular user account.

If you don’t like the idea of creating a new user account; it’s best to uninstall completely. Then re-boot your computer, install LR6.0 followed by LR6.5.1.

Am I still able to re-download LR6 when I uninstall? I guess I'm worried I'll lose LR6 because I bought the software itself and not the subscription. I'm guessing Creative Cloud will allow me to reinstall?

Dumb question but just wanted to be safe than sorry.

You won't lose LR6. The Adobe downloads are always available for re-insallation.

Ok so the installation and patch worked. It's successfully updated to 6.5.1

However, when I entered my serial number to register LR as my own license...I accidentally clicked on the free trial afterwards. Now on creative cloud it previously showed the button "try" and after I hit the free trial the button went to "buy now". The weird thing is it looks like LR is my own official copy with my serial number...but it says the 30 day free trial started.

Not sure how to correct this? Or maybe I'm good now I'm not sure.
