everytime i go to hit the download button it just takes me to the cloud and says i have that app?

and does not start the download, am i missing something?

I'm not understanding your message. It says you have already downloaded After Effects, but you can't launch AE from your start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac)? Could you show some screenshots, please?

no it does not say i have downloaded, just when i go to hit the download button, instead of downloading like it should, it will take me to the apps and tell me i have it updated, but i do not even have the program in my system yet
