I have one question, whre, or how in the hell do I download adobe download assistant? I'm trying to download a trial version of Adobe illustrator, but I' get this error message saying that I need to first install adobe download assistant, but it doesn't give me the option to download the program. I searched in the downlods section, but it doesn't seem to have adobe download assistant. Where the heck is this thing on the adobe site? Please help.

Wow. Just TRYING to select an ORIGINAL SCREEN NAME so I could TRY and help you with your problem was a NIGHTMARE!!! Yeah, not a very "intuitive" site. (Sorry, Preran.)
Okay, IF you're trying to download your purchase of CS 5.5 and you go to the DOWNLOADS tab at the TOP of the Adobe site, the FIRST featured product download is CS 5.5 Premium. When you mouse over that item, it becomes highlighted and at the bottom reads: Buy │Try │Learn More . . .
When you click on BUY it takes you to the page that confirms your order and allows you to ADD the product to your "Cart". Just under the "Delivery Method" in BLUE is a line which reads, "Dowload and instructions FAQ". Click on this as it will give you information on how long the download process will take according to your "internet connection".
This link also instructs you to:
If you are not prompted to save a file, the file will be saved to your default download folder.
IF you've already tried this with no luck, I'll try to attach the Adobe Download Assistant to this note. If I can't attach the little app to this note, please email me at design-dhuban@live.com and I will send the application as an attachment. I KNOW how totally frustrating it can be when you have (seemingly) all the necessary components and you can't get to what you've paid for. I hope this helps you!
Best,
