Elements Premier-problem installing

I downloaded Elements and premier 11 but apparantly need a program to open a 7Z file, why? Why would I have to search the web for aditional software for something I purchased from Adobe? Long time user..Thanks any help appreciated, Jeff

Hi doobieduck,

Whenever you download Adobe software on Windows machines there are 2 files which gets downloaded "7z "and "exe".

7z is the compressed content which consist of the actual setup and payloads however "exe" is a light-weight de-compressor provided from Adobe to extract the content from the 7z file.

Check for exe file on the download page and download it as well, use that to decompress the content rather then Third party alternative.

Manish thanks bunches for the help and reply. Please let me tell you what's going on. I'm unable to install elements or Premier. When I uploaded the manager everything seemed to go fine, it then tried uploading or opening the package. That took over 3 hours and my ISP I think cut it off. I got an internet urupted message. I've tried several times now with no sucess. It seems my DSL is to slow orsomething. Do you have any other suggestions. I'll pay for a disc of the software if you can provide me a link where I can purchase that? Thanks so much Jeff

A later reply Manish, I tried downloading again today with Google Chrome. It seems it starts the dowmload but never finishes. It was dowmloading about an hour when I got a "dowload unscuessful message. When I clicked on show details of the error It came up as a blank whit box. I have images if you'd like to see those. Jeff
