Our non profit purchased serial numbers for Adobe Pro 2020 from TechSoup. When we enter the serial number after installing the application on our computers, we are asked to log in, which we do.
The Adobe website shows the products we registered but shows no activations. Is this a problem? We're concerned becasue when a user leaves, we will not be able to deactivate the product and install it for another user.
The related problem is that we seem to not be able to install the product for all users on the machine. It ts user specific; so again if a users leaves, we may run out of serianl numbers if we cannot deactivate.
We're using Windows 10 Pro
Thanks

it's not clear what you purchased. acrobat pro 2020 (or otherwise), unless you specifically purchase a vip or tlp license (Adobe nonprofit pricing discounts & programs), is usually sold for a single person to use, and that person is allowed two concurrent activations. activation occurs when you enter your serial number and proceed.
if you purchased one of these:
from Adobe for Nonprofits (techsoup.org), they are all for a single user to use, and can be installed and activated on, at most, two computers at any one time.
is that what you purchased?

Yes. Adobe Pro. I understand the single user issue although I thought that the product attached to the computer, not the user.
In any event, after entering the serial number, I see that ithe serial numbers for the products I installed are "registered" on the Adobe site. But I do not see that they are "activated." I may have to "deactivate" users in the future and I'd like to option of doing it online if necessary.
Thanks

i think you should read the license terms on techsoup. you're violating the terms of use if you allow more than one user and are susceptible to having your license revoked.
further, if you need help from adobe support and they find you're violating your license terms, you could have immediate problems.
i recommend you contact techsoup to return your purchase and use the vip link to contact adobe and buy a legal license for your purposes.

I don't thbink we are violating the license since we purtchased a copy for each user. The question is one of central adnministration of the licenses.

To just add on to the previous comment, we're a non profit. We do not want to license the individual copies of Adobe to each user becasue users come and go. We'd like to license one copy per machine using our central email address. At any one time, one user at the organization would be using a licensed copy of Adobe, all of which are paid for.
Is there any way to do this? I'm sure there must be. We are not interested in buying copies for users who might leave the organization with the Adobe credentials. The copies are for use at the organization.

Adobe don't offer license-per-machine. Only license-per-person.
Assuming these are, for some reason, individual licenses rather than team licenses... You can't deactivate perpetual licenses that way. It's only for subscriptions. You must deactivate the perpetual license from the machine itself (Help menu). If the machine fails, the registered user (nobody else) must contact Adobe and ask for an "activation count reset". Transferring a registration requires paperwork signed by both old and new user. If a person has left, the license was gifted to them.

again, you should check the license terms and, if you still fail to understand (eg, you still think you can associate one license with more than one person), contact techsoup.

Further info. From https://www.techsoup.org/products/adobe-acrobat-pro-2020-for-windows-g-40959-
"This donation provides a license that allows a single user to install and use the software. The license key provided with this product request will expire on December 1, 2026. After that date, this product will no longer function." Does not look like your free product is transferable at all. (So far as I know it's free but Techsoup change $60 admin).

You need to contact Adobe directly about Enterprise licensing, which does allow assigning licenses to different users as needed.

You need a Teams plan which allows the admin to reassign team seats as new hires come onboard and old ones leave. Single App seats start at $36/mo per user.
