Fireworks problems

So yes, I'm still using Fireworks. My old computer has cs6 installed. Now I'm trying to install on a new computer. I don't have the discs but have gotten it thru creative cloud.

1) accessed products and there is a separate serial number for cs 5 suite

2) that actually comes with download links

3) that download does not fully install

4) still have the old computer with working copy

5) I don't see the serial number anywhere

6) installed various downloads of cs5 and cs6

7) pay for creative cloud monthly for years!!!!!

My business has used this all along. I have paid for these products since 2006. I want fireworks. I know it works on windows 11 cause it did on mac/parallels.  I understand adobe does not want to support old products but considering the amount of money I have put out since 2006? Seriously folks.

Now what?

you have a valid serial number for fireworks cs5, or you have a valid serial number for one of the creative suites that included fireworks, or something else?

and how's the cs6 install related?

all good questions

1) old computer has cs6 installed and working - assume from creative cloud in the past so no separate serial number

2) products page lists Adobe Design Premium with serial number which will not work for the fireworks that is on this computer - assuming from download link that says it's not fully properly installed

if you have a cs5 design premium serial number, it will only work with design premium, not an app (eg, fireworks) in that suite.  ie, use the suite to install the one (or more) apps you want.

again. I used the download links for that version of cs5 premium to install. It simply isn't working. I have looked at files and run the cloud cleaner tool. I am still running creative cloud by the way on this computer.  So ready to try again - but how? I've been googling all over the place for days now. Downloaded multiple possibilities etc.  What really gets me is this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/install-creative-suite-5.html

That is exactly what I've done and the download seems to be corrupted or something - or else can't be used on windows 11 or there are conflicts with existing active creative cloud?

so you installed AND activated without problem?

if so, did you use compatibility mode to install and run fireworks?

if so, what exactly do you see when starting fireworks after a computer restart?

I have in the past yes. Did not use a compatibility mode. Restart made no changes. Background: bought mac studio 2 years ago. Installed on parallels with no issues at all. Have no idea what I used to install or what serial number I might have used. The working version on the old computer may well have been gained via old creative cloud but it is cs6. since I have the cs5 serial number via the adobe website, i have tried it.

and by the way. I'm a web and graphic designer. Use photoshop often but it is poor when it comes to web optimization. Fireworks is way superior.
