I am planning on purchasing the Gotham font Family but cannot seem to find it so that I can actually purchase it. I looked in the Font section and it is not there, could it possibly be in a specific area or a package on the site?

Which site do you mean? Gotham isn't available from Adobe. You need to find an independent font supplier. Search for "Gotham font" in Google and you'll find plenty.
