Please check under ~/library.
However , you may try one little step :
1) Right click on Finder icon and select "Go-To" Folder option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
~/library
3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and rename 1.0 folder to Old-1.0.

Sorry to hear about your experience .
Antonk,
Try to update from Photoshop's Help menu. if you still face same issue , check for setup.dmg update file.
The update setup.dmg files will be downloaded to ~/library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0/Install .
Let me know whether you can locate the file , only if the update process fails.

This is ridiculous. What are we paying for?
I’m not manually downloading three DMGs when it's clearly a problem on Adobe's server end.
I find it incredible that not only are they not fixing this, they are going out of their way to not acknowledge it.
