Hello guys, I'm new to the forum and i hope i am posting this in the correct location. I had adobe CC for about a year before I had to cancel my subscription due to financial reasons. Now I am ready to get back on to using Adobe apps again but I am trying to use Adobe Photoshop CS6 and not CC. My employer bought CS6 and he has it linked to his account. When I install Photoshop, I am asked to renew my subscription when the Adobe CC window opens. When I entered the product key during installation it went through fine until I'm about to launch photoshop. Why is it asking me to renew my subscription? I have already uninstalled all Adobe programs prior to installing CS6 and I also ran the CC remover tool. I have also tried reinstalling CC and signing in with a different ID. As soon as I open photoshop, it asks me to renew. Is there any way to just remove my adobe account from creative cloud? This is so frustrating!
In this case , you can try 2 things.
First is to delete old license files under SLCache , so that fresh new files will be created during activation of CS 6 .
It shud resolve the issue.
Or You may Sign in with different Adobe ID while activating CS 6 using serial number. This will definitely work .
What exact happening is as the Email ID is linked to Creative Cloud subscription , the license files will be created for same, unless those are removed from comp , during activation process it detects the

we removed CC versions of PS and LR because Creative Cloud as a service is not smart enough to handle an installation of shrink wrap install CS6 (on two machines) and a CC subscpriotn on a 3d machine (two different customer plans). We like CS6 better anyway.
the support team is awful at cancelling much less helping through the technical issues. its an architectural issue on the licensing issues.
We pushed all folders and app items from the applications folder in OS X and it seems to be gone.

Hi Victor,
Please use the Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems to completely uninstall any Adobe CC traces, next use the direct download link of CS6 to download & install CS6

What exact happening is as the Email ID is linked to Creative Cloud subscription , the license files will be created for same, unless those are removed from comp , during activation process it detects the activation again as CC subscription .
Why this happens? because as you know CS 6 is also included as part of CC subscription, there will be conflict with activation process due to confusion . Hence in order to avoid this , try deleting old / previously created license files or Sign in with different Adobe.
When you get the pop up window with a message to Renew subscription , in the same pop up , look for the option " Have a different ID" and then Sign in with different Adobe ID. it shud work .
Steps to locate SLCache folder.
1) Right click on Finder icon and select "Go-To Folder" option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.
/library
It will open System Library folder.
3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe>SLCache.
You may trash all the contents of SLCache folder or rename SLCache folder to SLCache-old.
Note:
If you opt to trash all the contents . if you had installed Adobe apps using serial number , it will ask you to enter serial number to activate all installed Adobe apps again. Make sure you have serial number with you.

It seems like signing in with my personal account worked. I was able to log in then enter my serial number. This wouldn't link my account to this serial number; correct? Thank you so much!

Nope , unless you manually register , it will not register to this email ID automatically, its just a regular sign in . Even though serial number is registered under one email ID and you are using different Email ID , it should work just fine. no issues.
The issue was just a confusion with activation server , in which Activation server still thinks you are using CC subscription , may be its Account database related or System license files conflict. That's it.
