I just downloaded (from the Adobe site) Elements 10 to upgrade my Elements 6. Took over 2 hours but finally got to Windows InstallWizard ... started fine then this message: "Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data14.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used..."
The live chat guy at Adobe wasn't any help. I asked that they simply send me the upgrade on disc ... that I would simply wait. Not a chance. Does anyone have a solution
Thanks

I could be wrong here but it looks like your installation file is corrupt. Can you retry downloading the file? If you want to hang on, I'll check with customer support and get back.

Yes, it worked . It took 2 more trys but I finally got it to download.
However Elements 10 does NOT seem to recognize my Premiere Elements 4 & I cannot find any way to send Elements 10 files to Premiere 4 for further editing/processing. This is contrary to what the LiveChat person told me.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

ChikWeid which Elements 10 did you install Photoshop or Premiere? I am thinking it might be Photoshop Elements 10 as I am unsure why you would want to send files from Premiere Elements 10 to Premiere Elements 4. If you can please confirm though it would be appreciated.

Yes it was “Elements 10”. I had chatted with the Live Chat person about being able to use my old “Premiere Elements 4” with the new Elements 10 & she assured me that I could send documents/files to Premiere 4. I wanted to be able to send slideshows to Premiere for further editing. (Premiere 4 apparently doesn’t apparently have a “zoom” feature) – which I want to utilize in slide shows. When I try to send a slide show to Premiere 4, I get a message saying to download Premiere Elements 10: a program I unfortunately cannot afford at this time even though I was offered a ‘bundled’ price..

ChikWeid I would recommend posting your inquiry into the Premiere Elements forum. I think I might know what you are talking about regarding a "zoom" feature perhaps something a Ken Burns Effect? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Burns_effect The users in the Premiere Elements forum will be able to guide you on how, and if, you can accomplish something similar in Premiere Elements 10.
