After I installed Photoshop CC on my new computer Photoshop CS3 does not work any longer! How do I reactivate it? When I try to open it a window comes up that says that I need to reactivate it but that window does not work. I have uninstalled Photoshop CS3 from one computer so there should´t be any problems.

Hi Mariannel79323509,

It will help us better troubleshoot your issue if you can provide a little more information. Am I understanding correctly that CS3 was installed and working on the new computer prior to your installation of CC? Can you describe in a little more detail the behavior you experience when you try to reactivate? For example, do you get a specific error message? What is your computer's operating system?

Regards,

Hello,

thank you for contacting me.

I have bought a new Mac with Version 10.11.2 and I have upgraded my photoshop CS3 [SERIAL NUMBER REMOVED]

to Creative Cloud and photoshop CC. The problem is I can´t get photoshop CS3 to work on my new computer.

This window comes up telling me I have to reactivate it, se below, which does not work.

I have three computers, one laptop, my old IMac Version 10.11.2 and the new one. CS3 works on my old IMac and I have unactivated it my laptop

but that did not help.

I really need to use CS3 on my two IMacs, so I would be very thankful if you could help me.

Hi,

I had to do the  system installation twice on my new IMac Version 10.11.2 because something went wrong. CS3 worked after the first installation but not after the second one. I have uninstalled CS3 on my laptop so it should work on my two IMacs.

When I try to open CS3 a window comes up telling that I have to reactivate it. This window does not work. Even if I have Creative Cloud with photoshop CC I would like to be able to use CS3 on my two IMacs.

Regards

Marianne

Hi Mariannel79323509,

Since the error message indicates an issue with activation of your Photoshop CS3 license, the troubleshooting steps in the following documents may help:

  1. Error "License has expired" |  CS3
  2. Error: "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS‌

Please note that CS3 is at end-of-life and is therefore not tested for Mac 10.11. The suggestions in the documents are optimized for earlier Mac operating systems.

You might also want to review the following forum discussions in which users have experienced a similar issue:
