How do I sell Photoshop CS5 that was received as a gift and opened but not used?

With some care. Not to imply anything, but Photoshop CS5 hasn't been legitimately sold for several years - aside from a few stray copies left on some resellers' shelves. If it's a recent purchase, it may well turn out to be a pirated copy, even if purchased in good faith.
I'd check first that the serial number is valid. You could probably do that through chat on the Adobe site. If it is, and the copy has never been activated, it could be registered normally by the first user.
(If it has been activated at one time, a full license transfer is required - except if it has been used in a further upgrade path. Then it is still "contained" in the other license and cannot be redistributed).

Thanks for the input. The software was purchased through the "friends and
family" plan at Adobe. I, therefore, assume it is a legitimate copy.

I see. In that case there shouldn't be any problems, as long as the serial number has never been previously activated.

Thanks. Any idea as to what I should charge? It's Adobe Photoshop CS5 for
Windows.

I would like to mark this as "correct" as outlined but do not see the
"correct" box. Is it the "like" box?
