How do you find out what version of Adobe i am using.  I also need to know if the software is supported by vendor

What Adobe application are you referring to, you can normally go to the Help menu and click on About Photoshop for example to show the app version.

I went to Help/About and it says 24.1.0. Then I go looking for the User Guide and it says CS6? Do I have CS6 or 24.1.0? 
Is it the same.
Is it different, then why dont I have CS6? Or is this some sort Of Premium version, or is 24.1.0 the Premuium version.????
I could go on but I wont.
Any words of wisdom will be welcome.
