I'm not sure if this should be here, or if I even worded the title subject correctly but here goes.
I'm looking to transfer Adobe CC from a 2019 MacBook Air to a 2021 MacBook Pro M1. I've seen some posts saying that I should NOT use Migration Assistant to transfer Adobe CC from one laptop to the other. Some say to deactivate CC on the old laptop and uninstall every software, while others say you can just deactivate CC on the old laptop.
So, how should I go about this? Can I just deactivate and uninstall CC on my old laptop then reinstall and sign into it again on the newer laptop? Or is there a more complicated procedure I have to follow?
On another note, I'd like to use Photoshop and Illustrator native to M1, so does this mean I would have to uninstall Photoshop and Illustrator and reinstall them on the new laptop, if I only need to deactivate the CC account on my old laptop?

You definitely should not try to do this by transferring apps. Just install the Creative Cloud Desktop app on the new computer, sign in, and let it do the rest. There is no need to uninstall on the old computer (unless you are selling or giving away the computer). https://creativecloud.adobe.com/en/apps/download/creative-cloud
Be aware that the native M1 Photoshop app has many limitations; particularly, no video. You will also of course need ALL NEW plugins (this is not a limitation that can be removed). https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-for-apple-silicon.html

But I'll still be using Migration Assistant on the rest of my files from the old laptop. Should I uninstall CC on the old laptop so it doesn't get included with what I'm transferring into the new laptop?

yes, uninstall per:
uninstall all adobe apps, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, using the correct uninstaller, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-mes...
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
use migration assistant
on your new computer, install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.
if you have trouble downloading, use the alternative download site at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

Is it a requirement to use the CC Cleaner tool? Is it not enough to just uninstall the apps and CC itself?

the cleaner is not necessarily required. but the cleaner removes potential problems and decreases migration of detritus.

One last question;
Uninstalling the apps and CC will not affect any Photoshop/Illustrator work files I already have sitting on my desktop?

No, files are not at all effected by uninstalling the software or using Cleaner. Those just apply to the app. But as always, it is a good idea to have backups of your work!

Back up your Photoshop Preferences, presets, custom brushes, plugins, actions, etc... as you may want to use them with your new Photoshop.
