I am a paying member (have been for a few months) - when I try to sign in with my active Adobe ID it just brings me to enter serial screen.

Helyar if the Adobe Application Manager is having problems contacting the Adobe activation servers you can be prompted for a serial number. Please see Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html for some common causes of this difficulty.

I have installed that patch and it hasn't helped.
The info says after you've installed the patch to 'choose help > deactivate'
However, I can't select that because the program's instantly switch to the application manager...
