I am trying to deactivate my photoshop from one computer so I can move it to my new computer. It keeps giving me error codes and tells me to call phone support. The phone number doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas how I can TALK to someone? UGH

Oh, the activation servers for CS2 have been shut down. You need to follow the directions on this link to reinstall CS2:

So when I click the uninstall opton it will remember my info to reinstall without the discs? (I have the discs and key code) I am afraid to do anything because I have to have this program Thanks for all your help

Adobe help will not help with CS2, as it's too old a program. Your current activation number will no longer work. The only option you have is to follow the directions on that link.

Great!! I follow the links and now it says my serial number is not valid!!  Why won't it let me reinstall this?

That's what I was telling you. Your old serial number is invalid. You have to use the one that is giving with the directions in the link.

So should I be doing this on my old computer at all? Or should I just do it on my new computer? I could not get it to activate on new one? Well I went through all the steps again and it says

Could not load default gradients because the file could not be found

Could not load default patterns because the file could not be found

Could not load default contours because the file could not be found

Then Unable t continue because of a hardware or system error.Sorry but this error is unrecoverable

UGH this sucks!! I can't afford new software

What OS are you using? If you're on a Mac, you might be out of luck, as I've heard that old software doesn't work well with new releases from Apple. I've heard people can get it to work on Win. You might want to post another question on the Photoshop forum asking how to install CS2 on a new operating system. Just state that you know you have to use the link I gave you, or everyone will just post that. I've got CS3 loaded on an old XP computer, but I haven't tried to install it or anything older on a newer computer. I'm pretty sure it can be done though.

I am running Win 7. I am trying something else because I believe I messed up and installed only photosho and indesign when I think I should have deleted the entire suite and then reinstall using the entire suite. So I am trying that now. I'm Keeping fingers crossed
