I dropped CC subscription but CS6 programs don't work anymore

I owned the Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection in Oct, 2012. Later I subscribed to the Creative Cloud. This year I decided to discontinue the CC subscription. I still had my CS5 and CS6 programs installed on my computer. When I try to open the CS6 Programs, I get kicked over to a "Renew Your Subscription" Pop-up, and I am not allowed to open my CS6 Programs (the one that came with the suite) which are NOT part of the CC. How do I go about defeating this situation with a patch or something. I still have my original files for loading up the programs, but I would prefer to have the hijacking of my programs by Adobe stopped.

Hi dmperry24,

please sign out of the 'Creative Cloud Desktop Application' and sign in back again (Help). Now reopen your CS6
Application and you'll be given the option to license your software. After choosing the 'License this Software'
option, you will then be given the opportunity to enter your Adobe ID and serial number for Creative Suite 6.

Does that help?

Kind Regards,
Maurice

Maurice:

Thanks. i'm sure you are on to something here, but there's no "Sign In" for the Adobe Desktop Assistant (I'm on a Mac). All I can do is quit and restart the Desktop Assistant. And when I restart, and try to open the CS6 app, I get a Pop-Up that wants me to renew my subscription to the Creative Cloud -- nothing about licensing the CS6 app.

That worked beautifully. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but the hoops I had to go through to get my CS6 Re-established took a while.
