I have indesign cs4. I am instaling for the 2nd time on a new computer. After inserting my serial number the next window asks for a "product that I already own" and its serial number. I don't have this that I know of. What to do?

As I said, I have the serial number for this Cs4 disk. I input the serial number. The next box in the install process asks for an "Upgrade Check", and instructs me to "Select a product that you already own", offering CS, CS2, or CS3. and then it requires a serial number for THAT product. But i don't know what that product should or could be.

Hi,

If you have purchased CS4 as an upgrade then the previous product would be the one that was purchased prior to that.

Please provide you Adobe ID ( email used for registering the product ) in a personal message to me, i will check if there are any previous products registered.

Regards,

Bani

I believe the problem has been solved by the 7th person I called at Adobe, and the 65 minutes I spent, including 3 MINUTES OF BEING FORCED BY YOUR OUTGOING LINES ON A HELP NUMBER TO LISTEN TO AN ENDLESS LOOP OF OFFERS FOR A FREE BAHAMAS VACATION, THAT I FINALLY HAD TO HANG UP AND START AGAIN TO BE TORTURED FURTHER.

ps: This is not a "chat" line, as I was directed by 4 of the 7 people I spoke to. This is a "Forum".  29+ minutes spent here alone, just to make use of the product I already purchased.

The problem is now solved.

I'd say "thank you", but my frustration us still overwhelming, over Adobe's

OBVIOUS contempt for its own paying client base, made crystal clear by your

making it nigh IMPOSSIBLE to reach a human for what should be a normal

level of customer service.

I'm still seething over how I was treated.
