Thanks for trying to help. Starting from the beginning, it wasn't until I heard that Lightroom 6 was out that I realized that the CC desktop shortcut had disappeared. It has since been restored, but when I try to sign in I get "You have been signed out" in an endless loop. I've been in two separate chats w/ Adobe help folks, but I've had a severely bad experience with letting them take over my machine before. I'm not convinced of their ability.
I deleted the opm.db file with no change during one chat session, but today it won't let me delete it. I've reset the LAN settings to Automatically detect more than once. I just uninstalled the program then reinstalled it again, and still I get the loop described above.
What is the problem here?
