Hi guys,

I read that the problem is common.

I'm trying the trial version of indesign downloaded from creative cloud.

I try to open Indesign but after few secon it appears the message "indesign has stopped working".

I tried to read for a solution on the forum and i tried to cancell the preferences and to create a new user account either.

Don't work both, and in particular when i've opened again the creative cloud in the new account i can't see indesign in the list of the my apps.if i switch in the old user it's there.

I tried anyway to install it in the new user, that has administration permission.

Ibtried then to open indesign but this time has appeared a message that said it wasn't impossible to open it because i didn't have the permission.

Opening again the program appears again the usual message " indesign has stopped working".

Any idea to solve it?

Thank you,

Lorenzo

Are you sure you trashed your InDesign preferences – did you see the question?

Close InDesign and relaunch it, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt +

Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond with Yes to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the

preferences.

If you aren't asked the question, you didn't hold down the keys quickly enough!

Thanks to reply,

I'm quite sure. I say quite because i didn't use that way.

I cancelled the folders manually the first time, and the second time i tried to install again indesign, choosing that option before to unistall

Since you seem to have tried the normal steps, I'm moving you question to the Downloading, Installing and Setting Up forum.
