I believe the answer is that you cannot swap previous versions.

Hi, You can't do that.
There is one installation file for Pc and one for Mac. I warmly suggest you to upgrade to Creative Cloud. It's simply awesome and perfect for every use and even faster. The guys at Adobe did a great job really!
