after i install any version of photoshop and run it...it runs fine but when i shutdown my computer and restart ...the icon becomes inactive and shows nothing

What exactly does that mean?  What icon - on the desktop, or in the Start menu?  What do you get when you right-click|Properties?

It would be helpful if you posted some screenshots to illustratre your problem.

both the icons in start menu and desktop goes inactive...as you can see in the below sreenshots

Very unusual, and the properties of your shortcut also looks very different than mine on Windows 7:

But Photoshop is still there in its original install location?  Can you launch Photoshop from there?

Can you try to manually create new shortcuts in the Start menu?

I really do not know what causes this; could your user profile be corrupted?

Yea its in there...i cudnt launch photoshop from there...and when i try to do so following shows up..

how fo i know my user profile is corrupted? help me find out
