installing adobe acrobat XI pro

I've been trying to install the 30 day trial program for hours and each time the download assistant feet to "less than a minute" it starts over.  What am I doing wrong??

I'm working on a MAC... and not well versed with their browsers as of yet, but right now the only browser I have is Safari.  I'll research others.

I use Chrome, Firefox and Safari daily on a MacBook Air. They're all available via my OS X Dock.

They're all very similar but each has its own strengths and weaknesses.

When facing issues downloading software from the web, one of the first things to try is doing the same thing with different browsers. One might just work flawlessly. If they all fail, it's probably not a browser-related problem.

Hi again.  I've downloaded firefox and still the same.  The download assistant will download until 'less than a minute' then it will begin again. So frustrating.  I've also downloaded Opera browser, just to see.. nothing.
