installing CS 5.5 on a machine that already has 6

I need to install CS 5.5 on an iMac that was using CS 6. We turned that subscription off, but all the software is still installed.

I'd like to install 5.5, and Support directed me to download the dmg, which I have done. When I read the release notes, the Mac OS requirements are 10.6, but this would be going on a machine running 10.9.5  Not really sure if that's a problem, since I run CS 5.5 on my MacPro with 10.9.4 and it behaves well.

Is there anything special I should know about or do in advance of this install?

Thanks, Tracy

if you've had cs5.5 on that computer previously, clean first - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

if you don't play to re-activate cs6, uninstall it and clean it first.
