i want to install my Illustrator 9 on my Windows 7 machine, but after checking yes to allowing the software to make changes to the computer, nothing happens. What can I do to install the application?
Illustrator 9 is more than a decade and a half old and so wasn't intended for use on modern operating systems. It is very possible you simply won't be able to get it to install on Windows 7.
