Just downloaded edge, but it will not install

It just say's 'installer failed to initialize this could be due to a missing file. Please download adobe support adviser to detect the problem. But the support adviser doesn't detect any problems. Have downloaded edge twice now, same problem.

Hi again, and thanks for being so helpful. I have just solved the problem and thought i should post it here in case others have the same problem. I was using an unzip programme called jzip, i downloaded win rar instead and it worked. Obviously something wrong with jzip.

did you right click on the edge_p3-1_install_win_121411 file then extracted it to a folder?

Yup, i've downloaded in firefox. I extracted to desktop and click the icon. It immediately gives the error message. I'm using jzip for extracting.

I can view all the folders and files, and .exe but it just won't install.
