Hi, I have been using Lightroom 3 on my old widows computer but have recently bought a Macbook pro, is it possible to download a Mac version to carry on using it please

I'm not sure that this is right for the older versions. My understanding was that the serial number is specific for the different platforms. So you can't use a serial number for a windows license on a Mac.

Contact the Adobe support. I think they can help.

Axel, older versions of Lightroom carried licenses valid for both platforms.  The new version does not.

Hi Ned,

I have got the download but when trying to download it I get a message saying “Adobe Lightroom 3.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer which seems odd, it seems that my security preferences only allow apps from the app store etc.,
