Hi - I use a properly registered version of Lightroom 6.14 on my desktop Mac, running Mojave. I am about to buy a Mac laptop and wonder whether it is still possible to download a second copy of Lightroom 6 under my original licence from Adobe to use on the laptop (which likewise would be running Mojave).
Thanks,
Alex
If the new laptop run with Mojave you can download and activate a second copy.
Provided you do have only one copy of LR activated.

IF/When you do have a download, be sure to copy it to AT LEAST one external device
-since Adobe does sometimes remove old versions from the server
-a usb flash drive or external hard drive, or write to a DVD

Correct – you can activate the software on up to two computers, so long as you don't use the two copies simultaneously.

But, no new Mac will run Mojave, so this isn't possible for you.

And Lightroom 6 cannot be installed on any Mac running Catalina or later, due to Apple's removal of all 32-bit software support.

I'm using Lightroom 6 on my desktop and also on laptop under 100. Just use your same licsence key and you can use it on any device you want.
