Lightroom Classic CC - Error 1 - Mac

Hi there!

I'm running a mac (10.11) and cannot seem to get Lightroom Classic CC to install.

When attempting to use the Adobe downloader/installer - it always stops after 12% with an 'Error 1'.  I found the direct .dmg download of Lightroom Classic CC which downloaded fine, but when I attempt to install it also gives me an 'Error 1'.  I have uninstalled the Adobe App and run the cleaner but nothing seems to be working.

Can anyone assist?

if you have a lr subscription install the cc desktop app from here, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and use it to install your lr classic.

I tried this, but as the cc desktop app was downloading it also gave me an "error 1".

Would being on the trial effect this?

trial should install without error 1.

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud. (if you have a win os, right click the exe > click 'run as administrator'.

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Thanks for this - I followed all the steps however the CC desktop app stops at a 12% download with an 'Error 1'...
