If this involves using a browser, try using a different browser.  If this install application is something local on your machine then you should describe more about the experience.

As an alternative to the download assistant, you can download the trial version of the software directly thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

I have a similar problem.

When installing the CS6 Design Standard, I click on 'Install' and a progress circle shows for a second, but then nothing more happens.

It doesn't matter if I in the previous step choses 'Install' or 'Try', or later if I chose the whole package or only Acrobat X Pro.

I have the necessary rights to install, and can also create a folder under C:\Program Files\

I don't know what more to try.

Thanks!

I have now also tried to restart the computer and directly trying to install without starting any other application. Same thing still happens.

Now I've found the solution.

I'm running Windows 7, and in order to make it work I had to right click on setup.exe and select 'Run as administrator' even though I have the right to install in my standard user rights.
