I am trying to reactivate CS6 for a co-worker after a reimage.
I have installed the software successfully. I have a valid serial number from the original software purchase.
Because this computer is unable to connect to the internet, I am attempting to use the response code/offline activation process (using this site https://exception.licenses.adobe.com/aoes/aoes/v1/t1?locale=en)
My questions are:
1) Does the generated code differ depending on which user is logged in?
2) Should I use the same account to generate the code and receive the response?
3) Assuming the answers to 1 and 2 are Yes and Yes... how can I 'reset' my serial number to provide a response using this website again? (it will no longer provide a response for this serial number)

i've never used that system, but you can try this if there are problems:
An alternative is to get a Customer Care representative (yes, they should handle activation, don't let them redirect you to the forums) Contact Customer Care
You get the machine code here:
1. enter serial number of the software upgrade (look for green check mark)
2. select the qualifying product and enter the qualifying product serial number
3. Software either activates or generates an error message. If error message go to step 4
4. hit (ctrl+ Shift + Double left mouse click) - that launches challenge and response sequence as follows:
5. system creates a challenge code that you'll need to provide to an Adobe customer service rep
6. Adobe customer service will provide you with a response code that fully completes the software activation

I did make several attempts to reach out to customer care. Unfortunately they were quite busy and unable to provide an adequate solution. When I was able to speak to a person, they were unable to directly address my issue. I was redirected to the solutions at these pages
Creative Suite Enterprise Deployment
Using Adobe provisioning toolkit enterprise edition
I have yet to try these options. I intend to do so tomorrow.
However, I have previously installed the software and generated a code. I input that code and the serial # for the software at this part of the website
I am no longer able to do so. Is this no longer supported?

I'll see if I can get a Staff member to help you. As there are more than a few con artists who try to contact by Skype or PM (and some use "adobe" or "help desk" in their username in an attempt to mislead), look for the red Staff badge, S. Chawla as an example.

Matthewl79480488, sorry to hear that you are facing problems completing the activation process. From your most recent description, it sounds like the license for CS6 has reached its limit on allowable activations. Can you please send me a private message with the serial number you are attempting to activate? You can send a private message by viewing your public discussion, mousing over my name, and then selecting the message option.
I look forward to your update, Matthewl79480488.

Mathew, thank you for sending me the private message with your serial number. I reviewed the serial number in question, and discovered that it is a volume license for Master Collection CS6 for Windows. Can you please confirm the exact error message you are receiving? Volume license serial numbers do not include our activation technology, so there is no activation count to increase.
If you are receiving the message that the serial number is invalid, then please download a fresh copy of the volume license installation files from https://licensing.adobe.com/. If you continue to experience difficulties then see solution two of Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite for steps you can take to remove the activation database files.

Thanks for the timely response. I will look into the options you have listed.

You are welcome, Mathew, if you are actually seeing a request to activate, then I would still recommend completing the steps in post #7. If the activation database files are damaged, then it could cause other odd behavior, such as a request to activate a volume license for CS6.
