MacBook Pro OSX El Capitan

I clicked on run to download the software and my computer asked for my password to verify that I give it permission to run, then it just closed the window and didn't run or download

If you're talking about Photoshop 7, it will not install or run on modern Macs with Intel chips running El Capitan.

Photoshop 7 is a PowerPC application designed for older Macs which is incompatible with today's Macs.
