Extension Manager 6.0.4 Update

Any idea what it means?
Hi ActionCam,
You should find the solution on the following discussion.

As I have said on another discussion page.
"I am having the same problem. There seems to be a lot of reporting of this error, but all requests seem to end up on a new forum page and no answers as yet that I can see. Hope that one of these forums finally gets some answers."
These discussion/forum pages don't seem to be very user friendly - or is that just me?

i am having the same problem. i've seen it before. i just checked and my version is old, 13.0.4.
i'd invest some time and a call (even though the last person i spoke with at adobe support was totally clueless, passed me on to anthoer clueless person - for the wring reason - who didn't understand me or understand my questions or even problem. (i was routed to the wrong department and i could hardly make out a word they said either). anyway, can't find a phone contact number. if someone has one i'll call and post my findings.
this is frustrating, and dobe should be embarrassed for not resolving these types of simple problems for ths who BUY thier stuff.
thank to all who are contributing to this discussion. let's pary together that someone at adobe reads this, or one of us figures it out!

As I mentioned on another discussion thread -
Once the update failed I could no longer launch Photoshop CS6. I got a dialogue box that popped up saying "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working." I tried a number of things, including trying to reinstall Photoshop CS6. Maybe I did something wrong but I couldn't get any joy. Luckily, I had a recent Drive image which I restored and got my lovey Photoshop back again.
I then did as someone suggested and attempted to update from within Photoshop itself. Unfortunately, the same horrible result. Have just restored my drive again and will not try to install update 13.1.2 until I know that the problem has been addressed and fixed by Adobe.
By the way, as my attempt to reinstall Photoshop, as per the Adobe suggestion, didn't help, should I have reinstalled the entire Creative Suite Master Collection? If that is what I need to do then I will most definitely forgo this update.
I just had a look at what this update is supposed to do. It apparently gets rid of a bug that when you open a copy of Photoshop CS6 that you purchased, a notice displays that you can try this product for 30 days. As I don't have this issue, I wonder why I got the update anyway. Maybe that is why it is causing so much angst. It is supposed to fix a specific problem that I don't have.
I suggest that if, like me, you don't have this "Trial Screen Display" bug, don't install the update.

That doesn't help if you are using creative cloud because there is no box to check

I've just got this same error. The help article you linked to, how do you reinstall with checking the box already installed?
I open the Adobe Application Manager and the only option I have for PS is to update.

A 20 billion dollar company with thousand dollar software and they can't provide a competent upgrade without requiring a reinstallation of the program. Outrageous.

For those which are continuing to experience difficulties applying their updates please see Installation failed. Error U44M1P7 | Updates - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html. In specific the section regarding reviewing your installation log files is going to be the most relevant as it will allow you to discover the specific error messages which you are encountering when trying to apply the update.
The U44M1P7 error means nothing more than the update has failed to be applied. By reviewing your installation log files you will be able to discover the exact cause of the installation update failure.

I'm having the same error...the cool part of the "manually install the update" is that in the download page of Adobe downloads there is no 13.1.2 file to download...not for me...maybe i'm doing something wromg?
The solution of reading the log file is really not a serious way to proceed...

ActionCamStudio the direct download option is only going to be available to non-feature bearing updates. The 13.1.2 is a feature bearing update so there is no direct download option.
Please review the installation logs for your latest update attempt to determine the root cause of the update failing to apply. Without this information all that can be made is guesses as to why your specific update is failing to be applied.

Thank you so much ThePetal,it works.
Jeff, the solution of reading the log file is an headache. I'm not a programmer and i don't want to dig in something that i don't know and with i don't want to mess up.
Maybe, looking at the solution posted by ThePetal Adobe can understand what's going on,and give us a better solution.
Thank you so much for the support,
Bests
