"unknown software exception (0x40000015)" on CC update. What happened?

Explorer ,
May 28, 2014 May 28, 2014

I have no idea when in the update process it failed. An information window was on the screen when I returned to the computer.

It gives an exception number (0x40000015) and a location: 0x001e54a0.

And an "OK" button to terminate the application.

How can I determine what happened?  What programs are affected?

thanks for any help

Peter

Hi petermclennan,

Please restart your machine and try updating again. If still the same error then kindly uninstall and reinstall CC desktop. Refer the article: Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6.

Additionally refer the thread: Unknown software exception 0x40000015 Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums.

Regards,
