Hello everyone..I came across this thread because I have been searching for an answer for the right OSX to install to a Macbook Pro Mid 2012 that I will be purchasing online. I have already purchased a used/deactivated CS6 Master Collection (with installation disks) and its still on its way....I need an OSX that will actually work with CS6 Master Collection software because the seller of this laptop is willing to downgrade the fresh installed OSX High Sierra -- to El Capitan..He is not sure if the software will actually work with OSX Sierra (10.12.6 version)..but is sure it will work with El Capitan...But I have read some comments that CS6 is actually compatible with Sierra and High Sierra....I really need to know this info before I purchase that Macbook Pro because he said once the OSX is installed, there isn't a way to go backwards....Should I tell him to install El Capitan (if so, which version) or Sierra (10.12.6)?...Please advise. I would really appreciate your help. ~ Thank you.

Hi Artchie%20Vintci,

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs6-system-requirements.htmlAs you have mentioned you would like to upgrade your computer's operating system and install Adobe Creative Suite 6 on it, please be aware that Creative Suite applications are not supported on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and therefore, many of the Creative Suite installers may not function normally on macOS 10.12.
CS6 is a pretty old software and Adobe has not tested it on any of the latest operating systems post Mac OS 10.7. Hence it may or may not work, you may also have compatibility issues.
However you may try installing the product using the work around given here: Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).
Let us know if this helps.
